I have reposted a poll about Focus CC’s December meeting on this site at the request of Focus CC’s president. Although I wanted the poll not to be identified as coming from me to avoid the influence of voters’ opinions of me (favorable or unfavorable), since I was identified as the producer of the poll, the personal attacks on me have occurred, as I feared they would.
So I invite those who care to make their opinion about the December meeting to vote in this poll. This poll is not authorized by anyone other than me. I will attempt to make the results known to FCC members. Of course, I cannot promise that either the officers or the rest of the Competition Committee will take the results of the poll into consideration when deciding on the format of the December, 2011 meeting.

Re the December Best of the Best competition: The benefit of the photo competitions is to get constructive feedback from someone with experience and knowledge about lighting, composition, processing etc. Seeing the work of other photographers and listening to all the critiques is a valuable learning experience. Therefore, I would like the BoB competitions to include the judges’ analyses of the photos. If critiques were part of the BoB competition and in consideration of the time required for the critiques, perhaps members should be limited to submitting only one photo in each category. After all, it is supposed to be the Best of the Best.
